Zindagi-Do pal ki...

"When you want to enjoy life, think today as the First day of your life."

The day a child is born,he is taught how to fight the world. How to work hard and strive for earning a filthy paper-money!!Every where, every one says the same thing, "beta mehnat karo warna piche reh jaoge"...At this juncture a dialogue of famous movie "3 idiots" clicks to our tired brains.."life is like a race,if you don't work hard you will be like a fallen egg.."
But has it ever clicked to our minds that what if we don't study? What if we roam about? What if we get close to nature and admire god's beautiful creations? Will it harm us??..In a way NO!Because whenever you follow your heart you'll never go wrong.Do what your heart says.Listen to that only buddy in the left hand corner,it will never take you to the wrong track.
Life is too short. You never know..today you are there, tomorrow you may not be!!...enjoy each and every moment of your life.If you want to do something just do it!!..don't think about what others will say.If you love someone just say it,may be you may get him/her..never wait for tomorrow, because you never know but it may happen that tomorrow never comes!!..Eat,drink,dance,love,enjoy,party...do everything you want to..beacuse yeh zindagi sirf do pal ki hai!!..kab khatam ho jaye kya pata!!..

Someone special : Beyond Bf and Gf

"If you were going to die soon and had only one phone call you could make, who would you call and what would you say? And why are you waiting?"

We "the homo sapiens" are basically animals. But social ones! Each of us has basic needs like food, clothing, shelter etc. In modern times, mobile phones and laptops have been also added to list. But what makes us different from those animals which we say are not social? Strong bonding and relationships. Humans crave to love and being loved.

We "the humans" have named each relation. Mom-Dad, Brother-Sister,sister-sister,brother-brother, uncle-aunt, boyfriend-girlfriend and list in endless. Whenever we see two people talking we tend to name their relation. Why? I don't know!.....We introduce ourselves as son/daughter, father/mother etc of someone.

In teenage we have a great urge to know people......get known....see our facebook friendlist ticking.....!

But among all the relations most controversial relation is between a guy and a girl. (who are not brother and sister). The moment you see a guy and a girl taking to each other....we think that they are bf-gf! Why?? Don't know!! And I really die to know!....Can't they be good friends?

Situation is such that "guy n girl" always keep on CLARIFYING that they are just friends. "Just" friends? I strongly feel that word "just" should not be used with "friends". Friends are precious possession. Being friends is special....something unusual....a kind of miracle...a beauty....everything that is good!

There are few relations....that are too special to be called as Gf-Bf....there is no expectations, no complains and no demands......just being there is important! There is no physical desire...nor they have any plans to marry each other.....just .....no words to explains.....But this relation gives an inordinately positive feeling.....

U see charming face of that person...and that is what makes your day! Again I must stress...There is no expectation...or plan to see that person....but still you bump in to each other many times...You like helping that person...You wish to see that person happy and successful....You are ready to lose just to make that person win....! That person is known yet unknown to you....strange na? But all of us must have had this kind of relation sometime is life. If you did not have such relation...I believe that you have wasted your life.

It can be online even....a girl/guy whom you know since years but never talked to him/her in person. You see him on facebook and chat regularly.....Please don't ask how can you know someone with whom you never talked! Sometimes we hesitate in talking to someone for simply no reason....foolish of us! So just get out and talk to people...U never know you regret later!

Jisse dhoondta hoon main har kahin (My First Crush)

This isn't about University Crushes which are normal and everyone has got one girl they would die for :). This a story of a innocent boy having a crush on a sweet cute girl. And as we all know No.One is innocent at college/university, so back to school days. :)

What follows is a dream, rather a blur memory stored in some back part of my brain. Whenever I recall my school life I always enjoy the following  moments.

The story is of  the academic year 2000-2001. Only a couple of years since I shifted to Gandhingar, Gujarat. I hadn't made many friends but still was enjoying the school life.

The first day at school after a long summer vacation seems to be the most exciting one. A new bag, new water bottle, a new uniform nicely ironed, the crispy collar around which a nice bow tie had been tied, in the hanging on the shoulders would be notebooks labeled as per subjects and all wrapped in a brown cover which is hardly seen in colleges.

Then the excitement of meeting the friends after almost one and a half month. Flaunting the new haircut and the wrist watch which you got as a birthday present. I'm one of those (un)fortunate guys who have their birthdays in  summer vacation. I never had a chance to celebrate it with my school friends.

In the morning Dad dropped me at the school gate and I ran towards the school building as it was almost 7:05 and those khadoos volunteers won't allow me to enter the building if the prayer starts. I ran fast and got in. It felt like I won the 100m sprint with those volunteers :) :)

I was looking for my new class and my new class teacher. Then I got a glimpse of my then good friend Gaurang Soni (I don't hear from him much now though.). Finally got my class and my old classmates. It was then when I felt, that really I was in V standard(grade). All my buddies were there at the last benches and and so joined them at the back.

The prayer started, followed by the pledge, today's thought, headlines, and at last National Anthem. After all ended the late comers started to enter in the class asking for the permission from our new class teacher Mrs (Ops I forgot her name. never mind ) the whole class was busy talking about their cool summer vacation. I was too discussing things along with staring all the late comers with a feeling of pride of getting to school on time.

Suddenly I noticed a girl entering the class. She had a nice black colored bag nicely being carried on her shoulders. Also, she had the same green colored MILTON water bottle which I had, but mine was smaller than hers. She wasn't in the usual school uniform, she was wearing some colorful dress which made her look different from others and that was exactly what caught my eye.

She asked for the permission, entered the class and sat on the second bench, almost 5 to 6 benches ahead of in the adjacent row.

Then something strange happened which hasn't been repeated till now in my life, I got up from my seat, took my bag and went upto the second bench and accompanied her on the second bench.

After that I don't have any memories, maybe they faded away for a reason. I can't recall the name or her face (her face is kind off blurred in my little mind which I can't make out who was she ) but yup that black bag still hangs out in front of my eyes whenever I remember this incidence.

I know I was too young to be impressed by a girl do such a thing but don't know what was it that made me join her on the second bench.

Sometime I try finding loop holes in this faint memory of mine and I even succeed in finding some but don't know why my heart doesn't accept those.

One of the explanation which I thought would be an appropriate to mention which could be the cause

"I was more of impressed by the bag and bottle which she carried rather than the girl "

At last a request from my side if u like this then

Planning commission says "If you can spend Rs 33 you are not poor."

You may feel that this post is bit out of place. But as a university student, it does concern us, particularly for two reasons. First, many students cannot make up till university just because of such ridiculous planning. Second, we as a future of nation should try to know if this planning holds water?

I analysed my own expenditure. I am a simple university student. Just like anyone else. And by writing this I am not trying to say that all of us should be below BPL. But I want to throw some light and put my opinion that planning should be reasonable.

All the children has a right to education. There are typical costs that are needed for education. For example books, fees, transport etc. If we just account for these cost, amount of Rs 32/- will sound like a joke.

First comes the college fees. Minimum fees for engineering college is Rs 1500 per year.. This fee is only for government colleges. For SFI fees are much higher. But leave that apart. So I can say it is 1500/365=  Rs 4.11 per day. Balance left = 32 - 4.11 =  Rs 27.89/-. Further each typical semester has 6 subjects. Each subject has at least one text book. Each books on an average cost at least Rs 150. Per day I spend 150*6/182.5 = 5. 1 semester = 6 months. So I have taken 182.5 days precisely. Now I am left with Rs 22.89/-. Many of the colleges are located at remote places. Transport needs at least Rs 20 per day. Remember petrol price are all time high. Balance = 22.89 - 10 = Rs2.89. Now do I need to give you explanation for Rs 2.98 ?

So indirectly what planning commission suggests is....."IF YOU ARE POOR, JUST DON'T STUDY". This is a hidden message I could get! I would like to remind you that above discussion takes only academic expenditure. Still food, clothing etc are not included. Also prices I have considered are the least (impractically less). So actually academic expenditure is much more.

If you are one of those who say that scholarships are available...please think once again. Are so many scholarships available?

A Day To Remember: The next part

Do read the last past post before going reading this...

I was at....

There were some other volunteers only to take care of those who collapsed after donating blood, actually you don't collapse then and there as you get up from the bed. Let me tell you what happened to me. While I was lying on the bed with a needle inside my vein from which blood was going into the sterilized bag, I was thinking of the moment when I was in a dilemma whether to go for donating blood or not, and now I was doing the same.

The next moment I thought how much time will this take ?, then pulled out my phone and listened the song 'Hawa Hawa Aayi' a remix version from Shaitaan, after a while I felt that my throat was drying up, that was the moment when a weird thought came to my mind 'Yaar, Zinda Toh Bachunga Naa', I even called the Doc present there and told him that my body was sweating
uncontrollably, he told me to relax and turned the fan towards me, the air which the fan blew was the coolest breeze in the world which I have ever experienced. 'Kya Thandi Hawa Thi.'

Next moment a medical student (I suppose) came and asked me 'Kashu Thai Che Tamne, Chakkar Toh Nathi Aavta Ne ?'  I always told them I was alright. When she pulled out the syringe, I took a deep breath and asked her can I rest over there for five min. She again asked 'Weakness feel thai che..?' . This time I was really feeling a bit weak and needed a little rest so closed my eyes and went into the third world of thoughts. About five minutes later I got up and sat in a chair nearby, at first I was alright but later I saw something unusual happened to me, there were some beds and volunteers in front of me. First, the volunteers standing a bit far from me faded of, then the bed and the doctors and all those who were around me went blur. There were some voices in the background asking me if I was alright or not. Don't exactly remember the last part but the next moment some guys helped me reach upto the bed so let me have some rest.

I think I fainted partially or might be fully because I remember that I walked upto the bed myself along with the support of few guys. i salute the members of social service club. I thank them for whatever they were doing for the society. I would also join the club at the earliest.

Then a senior Doctor came upto me and diagnosed me and told me to close my eyes and have rest. Then came a guy who offered me a bottle of GluconD the most common energetic drink. I was treated like a king, though hadn't did anything like that.

I rested on the bed for about ten minutes and next, went to the coffee stall, there also were the volunteers keeping a good care of the donors. Had a cup of Nescafe Coffee and Parle G. then remained seated on the chairs over there, again slowly-slowly everything in front of my eyes was fading off, keeping myself into senses I leaned forward to let my head be neat to the heart so that blood pressure may rise and reach upto the head. Don't know what laws of physics governed this and how that came to my mind.

Whatever it was, it worked I was completely back to my senses in minutes. While I was trying out all this the volunteer over there saw me fainting and called for help. Other volunteers ran to me, to pick me up and place me on the empty bed.

The situation was a bit funny, some volunteers ran upto me and were about to pick me up, one even pulled up my leg, then they saw I was alright and we all had smiles on our faces.

There I rested for about half an hour and was back to normal,

I would have never donated blood if that friend of mine hadn't asked me and I out of curiousness hadn't given a try.

SO THIS IS HOW MY DAY ENDED, I WOULD NEVER FORGET THIS DAY AND WON'T FORGET SOME OF THE IMPORTANT KEY PEOPLE WHO MADE MY DAY MEMORABLE.

AT THE END I WOULD REQUEST YOU ALL TO AT LEAST DONATE BLOOD ONCE A YEAR. BE IT YOUR BIRTHDAY, ANNIVERSARY OR ANY SPECIAL OCCASION. DOING A GOOD DEED WOULD MAKE IT SOMEWHAT MORE SPECIAL.

COURAGE IS NOT THE ABSENCE OF FEAR BUT RATHER THE JUDGEMENT THAT SOMETHING ELSE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN FEAR !!!

A Day To Remember

Hi Guys and Girls this a friend of the original blogger. I'm here to
share an amazing experience with you. This post is a part of dairy
unedited.

20th September

It was just a normal day. It was at about 5 in the morning, when my phone rang, 'Pappa' was flashing on my mobile screen, I needed to go to catch the bus to Kalupur Station which departs from Gandhinagar at 6, that was what for the call was. I simply disconnected the phone to tell my parents that I'm awake now. Next what I did was usual, I slept for 5 min after which I had to continue with my morning routine. Can you guess my sweet diary what happened ? I woke up  next at 6:15 a.m. I was too late for me to be able to reach college on time.

(Actually that bus takes me to the railway station in Ahmedabad where I board an Express Train to Nadiad. This chain is very crucial, even a five to ten min delay could lead to, actually nothing just missing the first lecture or even the second one. I have even boarded a moving train, once I ran like anything just on the platform and finally made to the Guard's coach)

Back to the Tuesday morning, when I woke up many thoughts went through my mind calculating different factors, picking up various possibilities. Firstly, What time is it ?What time the bus leaves ? When is the
second bus ? What time will I reach the station ? which is the first lecture ? Is it worth attending ? What if I miss the train ? What if I don't get the bus ? These could be the questions would have hovered over in my
mind if it would have been a Monday morning, but fortunately it was Tuesday. I recalled my time-table and relaxed as the first lecture wasn't that important. So keeping my cool got ready till 6:45 and then straight away to the Bus stand for a direct bus to Nadiad. Skipping the regular routine now I directly jump to the important part of my day. It was at 11 a.m. we were free from the lectures and had complete

3 hour break so were loitering around in the college.  Then we saw something going on at the Center Foyer, later we came to know that Red Cross Foundation was there for a Blood Donation Camp. It was just what happens every year or semester don't exactly remember, but this time something happened which I would never forget. A friend of mine just asked me 'Karna Hai Donate' , I replied casually, 'Yeh Bhi Kar Lete Hai' . I thought it was just for fun but after half an hour we both were quite serious about donating blood. There were some who encouraged and some who discouraged. It
didn't really matter who told us what, it was important what we did.

There were two long queues near the Camp area, one for getting the bag for collection of blood and the second one for measurement of weight and blood pressure. It was a myth that I would get rejected due to either underweight or low blood pressure but none of this happened.I waited for about one and a half hour in the queue to get the blood collection bag and an approval of Doctor rather medical student. Then went inside to get into another queue, it wasn't a long one, just me waiting for the guy on the bed to get up who was donating blood.

Yeah forgot to describe the setup. The camp was organised by the Social Service Club of my college, so there were members of the club helping the medical staff with regular procedure of blood donation. They were mostly helping out the donors. They were doing a fantastic job they had kept some beds where they did all the blood extraction process. The club members were keeping a track of every single activity of the person who came there to donate blood.

First, they would give you a bottle of glucose, then the doctor comes, looks for the vein to pierce the needle, you spend about 15 min lying on the bed, the blood is collected in the bag which you were carrying. And every two to three min someone or other comes to you and ask you 'how is it feeling, are you feeling dizzy, chakkar aaye che' and they act accordingly.

I need to go to college so would continue from here next time.

An encounter with a teacher.

Today was the day of exam- Fluid power engineering. And it was even worse than a nightmare. The problem was with supervisor. He appeared to be cool and friendly when he used to take our lectures on ordinary working days. But to am shock, he stormed into our class and told us to follow three rules: No talking, Put the pens down once time up bell rings and third....I don't remember. He also threatened us to take the action if we are caught talking or something....and would make us sit at home for 3 years under "unfair means". So I was bit shocked.

And my luck was not with me that day. I had scribbled few equations of my bench. But before he distributed the question papers we were made to change our benches. God!! What to write in paper now. Can't talk...bench also changed. The syllabus of this subject was exhaustive.

Anyways, I collected myself from shock and tried to write something. Then that supervisor (our lecturer) started moving in the class briskly as if someone has freed the bull!! few answers that I could recall...I just forgot because of him. Next, he went out for some break and some other supervisor came. He usually used to come everyday. It was just like heaven. But he was a change man that day. He snatched the papers of three students. Poor students! Obviously, I did copy but I was in the corner and he could not see! Luck somewhat!

And he indeed did not give the paper back. I don't understand what he got in doing that? Can anyone please tell me?
